Academic & Teaching

Teaching the next generation of ophthalmologists — and staying sharp while doing it.

Postgraduate teaching

As an Honorary Surgeon at Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, Dr. Shraddha is involved in the clinical education of postgraduate ophthalmology students — case presentations, surgical demonstrations and the supervised development of examination and surgical skills that define residency training at a teaching hospital.

Clinical education philosophy

Good teaching in ophthalmology is Socratic: the resident examines first, commits to a diagnosis, and then defends it. Dr. Shraddha's academic approach mirrors her clinical one — measurement before opinion, evidence before enthusiasm, and honesty about uncertainty.

Conferences & academic sessions

Participation in ophthalmology conferences and academic sessions keeps clinical practice current — new imaging, evolving transplant techniques, refractive surgery safety literature. Specific presentations and faculty roles are listed here as they are documented and verified; this site does not list conference positions that cannot be evidenced.

Mentoring

Beyond formal teaching, Dr. Shraddha mentors younger colleagues in corneal evaluation and refractive-surgery work-ups — the structured, data-first approach that defines safe practice.
